Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
The financial trajectory reflects a powerful operational recovery, evidenced by revenue reaching $93.5 billion and net income climbing to $7.74 billion over the trailing twelve months through mid-2026. This performance marks a structural rebound from 2023, powered by accelerating commercial aftermarket flight hours at Collins and heavy munitions deliveries at Raytheon. However, reported trailing free cash flow of $12.02 billion overstates the normalized run-rate because it reflects depressed prior-year comparators and favorable customer advance payments. Management's official full-year 2026 free cash flow guidance of $8.50 to $8.75 billion provides the realistic cash baseline for long-term investors.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Operating margins have embarked on a structural ascent, recovering from 5.17% in 2023 to 10.50% in 2025 and widening past 11% in mid-2026. This resurgence is propelled by high-margin commercial spare parts and flight-hour agreements at Collins Aerospace, alongside tapering engine inspection penalties. A clear margin divergence persists across divisions. While commercial aerospace commands exceptional pricing power, Raytheon's defense margins face drag from legacy fixed-price development contracts and component inflation. Long-term operating margins will likely consolidate between 12% and 13% as manufacturing volume scales.
