Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
The latest financial performance shows a business growing reliably on the surface while masking key accounting divisions underneath. In fiscal 2026, revenue increased 25.4% to $3.35 billion, supported by strong enterprise customer adoption across the Zero Trust Exchange. Billings and contract obligations expanded to $7.4 billion, confirming healthy corporate demand for cloud-based security. However, headline results reveal a sharp split between reported cash and true net income. While the company generated $852 million in headline free cash flow, it recorded a GAAP operating loss of $133 million due to substantial research overhead and sales costs. Operating cash is heavily flattered by customers paying multi-year contracts upfront, meaning true bottom-line profitability remains negative until overhead costs moderate.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Gross profit margins remained exceptionally sturdy at 76.8% in fiscal 2026, matching prior-year levels. This pricing stability proves that enterprise clients willingly pay premium rates for mission-critical traffic inspection, despite rising energy and bandwidth fees across global data networks. The core subscription engine remains fundamentally lucrative. In contrast, true operating margins remain slightly negative at -4.0%, held back by extensive sales commissions and employee stock compensation. A massive gap separates reported GAAP losses from the company's 23% adjusted operating margin. For shareholders to enjoy lasting investment returns, operational efficiency must turn those adjusted accounting numbers into genuine, positive GAAP net profits.
