AI Review
The company has completed a dramatic transformation from venture-subsidized cash burn into an industrial cash-generation machine. For the twelve months ended June 2026, revenue expanded to $55.2 billion with operating income reaching $6.89 billion, backed by gross bookings compounding at over twenty percent. While headline reported net income fluctuated due to accounting gains on minority equity investments, the true financial engine is operating cash flow. Trailing free cash flow crossed $10.12 billion, demonstrating exceptional operational leverage. Headline revenue growth appeared to slow due to statutory accounting reclassifications in the United Kingdom, but actual consumer trip volume and gross bookings remained robust. This structural cash flow allows management to fund expansion internally without needing expensive debt financing.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Operating profitability has expanded significantly, with operating margins rising from negative territory four years ago to 10.7% in fiscal 2025 and over 12% by mid-2026. This expansion reflects fixed platform costs spreading over billions of trips, lower promotional subsidies, and rising delivery efficiency across major metropolitan markets. The most powerful driver of future profitability is high-margin digital advertising, which generates software-like margins above seventy-five percent across the app's ordering screens. While rising commercial auto insurance and driver fuel costs create friction, advertising revenues and cross-platform Uber One memberships provide structural support to keep operating margins expanding toward mid-teens.
