Earnings and Revenue Trajectory

AI Review

The company's core financial engine continues to generate impressive results, even while broader consumer spending in China remains slow. Full-year 2025 revenue grew fourteen percent to 752 billion renminbi, while net income climbed sixteen percent. In mid-2026, revenue maintained double-digit growth, driven by strong gains in video advertising and domestic gaming. Headline profit growth temporarily flattened due to heavy accounting charges for new computing equipment. However, the recurring business without experimental tech projects expanded operating profit by nineteen percent. The underlying cash generation remains exceptionally healthy, easily funding technological investments and ongoing shareholder cash distributions.

Profitability & Margins

Margins and Operating Efficiency

AI Review

Profit margins have expanded steadily thanks to a deliberate shift toward more lucrative digital services. Gross margins climbed from forty-three percent in 2022 to over fifty-six percent in 2025, reaching nearly fifty-eight percent in mid-2026. This improvement happened because high-margin video ads and mini-game commissions grew rapidly, displacing lower-margin payment and hardware activities. While recent depreciation on new computer clusters created minor headline pressure on net margins, the underlying business economics remain elite. The software platform costs very little to run for each additional user, meaning future revenue will naturally flow straight into operating profits as computer spending levels out.
