Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
Stryker's financial performance highlights the remarkable resilience of its core medical business. Full-year 2025 revenue grew by 11.2% to $25.1 billion, and momentum continued with trailing revenue reaching $25.8 billion through mid-2026. While an early-2026 cyber incident and factory delays in peripheral vascular products caused temporary quarterly hiccups, underlying procedure demand rebounded quickly. Crucially, headline accounting figures obscure superior cash generation. Trailing free cash flow reached an impressive $4.70 billion, easily surpassing reported net income. Because surgical operations require constant replenishments of implants and single-use tools, revenue converts reliably into cash even during broader economic slowdowns.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Stryker demonstrates strong structural pricing power and operating efficiency across its operations. Gross margins widened to 64.0% in 2025, driven by premium pricing for specialized robotic implants and an advantageous mix of surgical instruments. While operating margins dipped temporarily to 19.5% in 2025 due to acquisition integration costs and supply chain friction, adjusted operating margins quickly rebounded above 22% on a trailing basis. As temporary factory bottlenecks clear and outpatient surgical centers expand, operating leverage will continue driving profits faster than sales.
