AI Review
The company delivered an outstanding financial year for fiscal 2026, with annual revenue surging 26% to $23.2 billion and net income expanding 36% to $7.27 billion. Powerful demand for artificial intelligence memory chips and advanced foundry tools drove record quarterly revenue of $6.72 billion in June. However, headline profits tell only part of the story. Free cash flow contracted nearly 10% to $4.89 billion because rapidly accelerating tool shipments absorbed substantial working capital into unpaid customer receivables and inventories. While upcoming guidance points toward continued quarterly growth, translating delivered equipment into collected cash remains essential as customer fab buildouts mature.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Profitability expanded to multi-decade highs during fiscal 2026, with gross margins climbing to 50.5% and operating margins reaching 35.3%. Selling proprietary cryogenic etch chambers and advanced packaging tools commanded premium pricing power, while manufacturing scale in lower-cost Asian facilities provided powerful operational leverage. Nevertheless, margins historically peak alongside equipment delivery cycles. While recurring customer service revenues provide a reliable profitability cushion, operating margins above 35% will face pressure once memory customers digest newly installed capacity and trade curbs constrain high-margin Chinese shipments. Sustainable through-cycle profitability will depend on maintaining technical leadership in next-generation chip architectures.
