Earnings and Revenue Trajectory

AI Review

Doximity's financial performance presents a striking contrast between slowing top-line revenue and powerful cash generation. For fiscal 2026, revenue increased 13.05% to $645 million, but growth decelerated to 7.34% in the first quarter of fiscal 2027. GAAP net income contracted sharply, halving to $24.3 million in the latest quarter as spending on artificial intelligence engineering surged over 40%. However, this headline earnings drop conceals underlying cash-flow vitality. Trailing free cash flow reached $299 million, representing an elite 46% conversion margin. Operating performance reflects deliberate, front-loaded software reinvestment rather than structural business decay, providing a highly resilient foundation as commercial marketing commitments stabilize.

Profitability & Margins

Margins and Operating Efficiency

AI Review

The company commands extraordinary pricing power, maintaining pristine gross profit margins near 89.1% in fiscal 2026. However, GAAP operating margin compressed from 39.9% in fiscal 2025 to 33.3% in fiscal 2026, and gross margins dipped toward 85% in recent quarters due to cloud inference expenses supporting clinical AI queries. This margin compression represents an intentional strategic investment rather than permanent competitive erosion. Core physician distribution carries negligible marginal delivery cost, ensuring that as enterprise software subscriptions scale and search monetization matures, operating leverage will naturally expand margins back toward mid-30% levels.
