Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
The company's financial results demonstrate explosive top-line acceleration, propelled by surging demand for enterprise server processors and artificial intelligence accelerators. Trailing twelve-month revenue reached $41.3 billion through the second quarter of 2026, driven by a fifty percent year-over-year revenue surge. High-margin server processors and expanding accelerator shipments generated $6.49 billion in operating income and $8.40 billion in free cash flow, confirming that core datacenter operations are scaling profitably. However, headline earnings conceal important nuances. Growth is heavily concentrated among a handful of cloud giants, and recent reported net income includes non-operating investment gains that do not represent recurring chip sales. Meanwhile, consumer gaming revenue has contracted sharply, meaning the datacenter division is carrying the entire corporate growth burden.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Profitability has staged a dramatic recovery from prior cyclical troughs, with gross margins rising to 49.5% in fiscal 2025 and operating margins expanding toward 15.7% over the trailing twelve months. Powerful operating leverage in high-density server processors has driven this improvement, as fixed engineering overhead is amortized across rapidly expanding shipment volumes to cloud customers. However, forward margin expansion faces a clear structural ceiling. Complete rack-scale artificial intelligence systems bundle expensive third-party memory modules and networking hardware, which lowers profit margins per dollar of revenue. As a result, non-GAAP gross margins are guided to plateau around fifty-six percent, preventing software-like margin expansion despite soaring shipment figures.
