Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
Comcast generated approximately $125 billion in revenue over the trailing twelve months, showing top-line stability as wireless expansion and enterprise networking offset ongoing cable television cord-cutting. Headline net income declined to $11.2 billion, but this drop largely reflects tough comparisons against the prior year's $9.4 billion accounting gain from selling its Hulu stake, rather than operational collapse. Crucially, trailing free cash flow held firm at an exceptional $20.4 billion, demonstrating extraordinary cash conversion. While competitive broadband price discounts have squeezed operating profit margins, the core business continues to harvest massive amounts of cash that comfortably fund dividends and debt repayment.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Gross margins widened to 71.7% in 2025, driven by a structural shift away from expensive television programming expenses and toward high-margin broadband and commercial data services. However, operating margin softened toward 16.7% due to defensive broadband price locks and promotional discounts on new mobile phone lines. This margin compression reflects an intentional strategy to sacrifice short-term pricing in order to lock in customer relationships. As introductory mobile discounts expire and business services continue to grow, consolidated operating margins should stabilize and support steady long-term profitability.
