Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
Siemens delivered strong headline revenue growth through fiscal 2026, reaching 20.8 billion euros in the third quarter while lifting industrial profit to 3.5 billion euros. This operating expansion was powered by double-digit momentum in electrical infrastructure and data center equipment, which effectively counterbalanced cyclical sales declines in factory automation. The company raised its fiscal 2026 pre-PPA earnings guidance toward 11.50 euros per share, supported by an all-time record order backlog of 132 billion euros that guarantees multi-year factory utilization. Crucially, cash generation remains robust, generating 4.1 billion euros of free cash flow in recent quarters with excellent earnings conversion. However, reported bottom-line comparisons will soon become distorted as the planned deconsolidation of Siemens Healthineers removes healthcare earnings from consolidated statements. Investors must focus on continuing industrial cash flows rather than headline accounting changes.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Profitability exhibits a healthy structural divergence between divisions. The overall Industrial Business profit margin climbed to 17.3 percent in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, driven by record performance in Smart Infrastructure where electrification pricing power pushed margins near 20 percent. This high-margin equipment helped offset temporary profitability dilution in factory automation caused by customer destocking. This margin resilience reflects a permanent upgrade in product mix rather than temporary cost cuts. As high-margin simulation software is integrated into customer workflows, recurring software contracts will provide a durable profitability cushion. However, persistent European energy costs and low-cost Chinese automation competition prevent overall group margins from expanding indefinitely without volume recovery.
