Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
Headline numbers hide a major turning point in how the business earns money. In fiscal 2025, revenue grew roughly 13% to 1.31 trillion yuan, but operating profit collapsed by nearly 93% as the company poured cash into delivery discounts. However, recent 2026 results show a sharp rebound, with second-quarter net income rising over 15% despite slightly lower sales. By cutting wasteful delivery subsidies and growing platform service fees, the underlying retail engine is producing healthier, more durable cash flow.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Profit margins suffered a severe plunge during the 2025 price battles before staging a decisive recovery. Operating margin dropped to near zero as aggressive customer discounts ate up profits, but that damage was a temporary choice rather than permanent decay. Recent filings confirm margins are rebounding, with core retail operating margins reaching 4.6% in mid-2026. As higher-margin merchant advertising and logistics services grow, the business is becoming more profitable per dollar of sales even while broader retail demand remains sluggish.
