Earnings and Revenue Trajectory
AI Review
The company demonstrated strong operational acceleration through fiscal 2025, lifting revenue 6.05% to 73.4 billion euros and net income 23.4% to 5.22 billion euros. This top-line momentum carried into 2026, where second-quarter revenue surged 27.7% to 20.5 billion euros as commercial aircraft handovers accelerated. However, headline accounting earnings conceal significant seasonal cash flow strain. In the first half of 2026, free cash flow was negative 1.04 billion euros as unfinished aircraft gliders absorbed billions in working capital. The underlying business remains highly profitable, but ultimate financial success requires clearing supplier bottlenecks to turn parked airplanes into realized cash.

Profitability & Margins
Margins and Operating Efficiency
AI Review
Operating margins recovered to 7.13% in 2025 and expanded to 8.2% in the first half of 2026, driven by favorable aircraft mix and solid pricing power. Long-range narrowbody variants command substantial price premiums, while contractual inflation clauses successfully pass higher labor and component expenses directly onto airline customers. Profitability is currently held back by abnormal holding costs for unfinished planes and legacy restructuring charges in sovereign space programs. As engine deliveries normalize and assembly cadence accelerates, spreading fixed overhead costs over far more delivered aircraft will structurally lift operating profit margins into double digits.
